Help for ASDPeople living with a developmental disability, autism spectrum disorder, or cognitive delay often find the world a confusing place.

Although there are many community resources that offer support and instructions in life skills and behavioural intervention, emotional issues often remain unaddressed. These people may feel misunderstood and may not understand what their diagnosis means to them specifically, and how it relates to their daily life.

People living with a developmental delay or cognitive delay are much more likely to suffer from depression and anxiety than other people in their communities. They are some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. It can be challenging to try to help others understand their differences in a meaningful way.

If you have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder counselling can help you to understand what your diagnosis means to you specifically, and how it relates to your daily life.
