Webcam for online counsellingMost people with autism spectrum disorders are familiar with using the computer.

Often they are more comfortable relating to a computer screen than face-to-face. Counselling over a web camera system over the internet can enhance connecting with someone who has an autism spectrum disorder, as text can be used easily as well as video/audio. There is an added benefit for people who have great difficulty leaving their home, as the service can come to them!

At this time Katherine uses Skype as the program platform for Counselling-at-a-Distance. She has been able to provide services across North America using this system, but has focused on providing service in Canada.
